Odyssey Regulator with Motor Installation DYI : Dorman 741-011 Honda Odyssey Front Passenger Side Power Window Regulator with Motor
My window just dropped recently when my passenger was rolling it down and there was a grinding noise. I diagnosed it as the regulator break down and looked for a DYI video on how to replace it. There was a You Tube video which had a similar type of Regulator installation and so called the three Honda dealers in town and they had this item in stock for $104 to $125; the installation would be a 1 1/2 hour labor charge at $120 an hour and the local Shell auto center said it would cost $400 to replace. I ordered this item for about $50 from Amazon plus shipping and got it in a few days and installed it without much difficulty in about 1/2 hour to 45 minutes by myself. Saved over $300. Note: make sure you need a new regulator; my old regulator probably could have been reused as the motor and cable were okay; the cable just slipped and could have been put back in place, but if had a the dealer do still would have been about $200 in labor. Now I have my passenger window back and this item works like charm.
